The Sandbaggers Story
They say you can spot Double-Bogey Benny on the first tee by his swing alone—awkward, off-balance, and suspiciously terrible. He shanks the opener, apologizes too much, and casually mentions he “barely plays anymore.” The group nods. The money gets agreed on. The trap is set.
By the turn, Benny is still struggling… just enough. Misses putts by inches. Loses balls in plain sight. Sighs dramatically. Then, somewhere around hole 14, the mask slips.
Suddenly the drives are striped. The irons stick. The putter turns lethal.
By 18, Benny’s buying beers with their cash, shrugging like it was all luck. Handicap unchanged. Reputation intact. Wallet heavier.
He doesn’t cheat the game.
He just lets the game cheat for him.
